I'm Eric Hensley — founder of Hensberry Travels, and the person who's going to lose sleep over your hotel pillows, your daily excursions, and whether the light hits your terrace just right at golden hour.

I didn't get here the usual way.

I started in musical theater — which, if you think about it, is just an elaborate training program in reading a room, obsessing over details, and making sure everyone has an unforgettable experience. That career brought me to Tokyo, where I spent years performing at Tokyo Disney. And Tokyo is where travel stopped being something I did and became something I understood. The way a city can rearrange you. The way a perfect meal in a place you can't pronounce can feel more like home than home.

I plan trips for couple, families, solo travelers, and small friend groups who want more than a luxury hotel with a good lobby. You want the owner-run place in Puglia where they remember your name by dinner. The ryokan in Kyoto where you sleep on tatami and wake up to a breakfast that could make you cry. The boutique hotel on Ischia where nobody blinks when you check in together.

That last part matters to me. As a gay man who's traveled the world with his partner, I know the difference between a place that tolerates you and a place that celebrates you. I vet every hotel, every destination, every recommendation with that in mind. Not just for my LGBTQ+ clients — though I specialize in planning for our community — but for every client who wants to feel genuinely welcome wherever they land.
